Baseball and Diamonds - A Girl's Two Best Friends

Hopefully, this is the start of something good. I am a baseball fan...a big baseball fan. However, I am a female. But I know I am not the only female baseball fan. I know the sport is primarily a man's game, but I also I know there are many women who enjoy the game of baseball either because their dad introduced them at an early age, their husband/boyfriend enjoys the game, their sons play little league, or they just started liking it on their own somewhere along the way. You wouldn't know that to be the case based on what is on the internet. Although I use many of the news and stat websites out there for my rotisserie league and enjoy the baseball blogs, I noticed that all of them lacked the female element. Why would those sites/blogs need a female element, you ask? After all, what do I know about the sport? I can't understand it fully, can I? There are women who understand the game better than their male friends and there are women who want to understand it better. In either case, this is the blog for you. There are women who want to know more. They have simple questions to ask about the game but don't want to post their "beginner" question to those man-based websites. Also, there is a certain part of me that wants to discuss why A-Rod would cheat on his wife or who wears the uniform in the best possible way. Therefore, I am launching this blog so that these women can find a place to read about the game from a woman and perhaps discuss the great sport of baseball with other women. Men are, of course, welcome to read and join in as it might be helpful to them to hear what their ladies have to say - or they may just want to understand the game a little bit better as well.
